Grower Tips:

It is not recommended to plant small plugs in the spring since they will flower before they achieve the desired size.

Growing Temperature:

Rooting out: 65-72° F
Growing: 55-65° F

Holding Temperature:

40-50° F outdoors

Soil PH:

5.5-6.2

EC (What is EC?):

1.2-1.4 pour through method

Fertility:

Needs 150-200 ppm for optimal growth.

Vernalization:

Required for 8-10 weeks for flowers.

Pests & Diseases:

Most diseases can be avoided by managing the growing environment; through proper spacing of containers, adequate air movement, humidity control, monitoring media salt levels and providing proper irrigation.

Potting & Timing:

Plant small plugs in late summer to allow enough time to bulk before dormancy. If a spring planting is desired then use bare root plants for a quick turn crop.

Moisture:

Moderate to moist.

Planting Level:

Place crown just below soil surface.

PGRs/Pinching:

Pinch 1-2 times; soft pinch at liner planting and another 4 weeks later to maintain even growth. Bare root plants do not require pinching.

Lighting:

Provide high light levels for best results.
