Fertility:

Scout for aphids, spider mites, and thrips.

Moderate. Provide consistent moisture, but avoid overwatering.

Planting Level:

Crown should be planted even with soil line.

PGRs/Pinching:

Pinching is beneficial to promote lateral branching. PGRs can be beneficial in controlling plant size but may require multiple applications. Daminozide (B-Nine, Dazide) at 2,500-5,000 ppm, Daminozide at 2,500-5,000 ppm + Chlormequat Chloride (Cycocel) at 1,000-1,500 ppm, Paclobutrazol (Bonzi) at 30-60 ppm, or Uniconazole (Concise, Sumagic) at 5-10 ppm.

Lighting:

High light levels, long day obligate.
