Pests & Diseases:

Thrip, scale, mealybugs, and weevils are the main pests on yucca.

The most commonly seen diseases are Coniothyrium or brown leaf spot (Coniothyrium concentricum), Cytosporina or gray leaf spot (Cytosporina sp.), Fusarium stem rot (Fusarium spp.) and Southern Blight (Sclerotium).

Potting & Timing:

Plant bare root plants in early to late spring. Plants are evergreen so they will arrive with foliage on them.

Moisture:

Moderate moisture is best. Avoid overwatering.

Planting Level:

Plant with the crown at soil line. Tubers should not be exposed.

Lighting:

Yucca prefer high light levels for best growth.

Grower Tips:

Bare root plants are large. Use a true 1 gallon container instead of a trade 1 gallon.
Some growers prefer using a 2 gallon container to allow plenty of room for the large, tuberous roots.
